LeT terrorist Uzair Khan A.K.A Usman Ghazi, who is believed to the mastermind of Anantnag – has been eliminated by our forces
In a courageous operation spanning seven days, our security forces successfully neutralised terrorists responsible for the recent martyrdom of our brave soldiers. The operation, which concluded in the forests of Kokernag, Anantnag, marks a significant victory in the ongoing battle against terror in the region. While celebrating this triumph, it is equally important to honor the memory of Sepoy Pradeep Singh, the fourth valiant soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice during this operation.
Sepoy Pradeep Singh, a dedicated member of the Sikh Light Infantry serving with the Rashtriya Rifles, hailed from Samana Sadar village of Patiala in Punjab. He was just 27 years old. He had joined the Indian Army in 2016, embarking on a seven-year journey marked by unwavering grit and valor. He leaves behind a grieving wife who undoubtedly shares the nation’s pride in his bravery.
Sources reveal that Sepoy Pradeep Singh was an integral part of Col Manpreet Singh’s Quick Reaction Team (QRT). This elite team, comprising some of the fittest and most skilled soldiers in the battalion, plays a crucial role in responding swiftly to counter terrorist threats. Tragically, it is believed that Sepoy Pradeep Singh may have been hit on the very first day of the operation, his body was found yesterday at 5 pm
A fellow soldier from Sepoy Pradeep’s unit aptly describes him as ‘sher ki dahad thi, apne shera ki’ – he was a tiger and roared like one! This sentiment encapsulates the indomitable spirit displayed by Sepoy Pradeep Singh throughout his service to the nation.
The Anantnag Operation, which concluded with the elimination of LeT/TRF operative Uzair Khan, is a testament to the dedication and capabilities of our security personnel. They deployed a range of surveillance resources, including Israeli Heron Mk II UAVs, quadcopters, and night vision devices, to ensure the mission’s success.
It is crucial to recognise and remember the sacrifices made by our brave officers like Col Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonchak, DSP Humayun Bhat and Sepoy Pradeep Singh, who lay down their lives in the defense of our nation. Their valor and unwavering commitment continue to inspire us all as we stand united against the menace of terrorism.
