A village in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh has been operating on on solar power for a year now; Lakhanjar villages installation of a solar plant in its midst has been a source of welfare for all of its residents. Children of Lakhanjar can now have electricity to study at nights; women can cook via solar-operated device. A resident explains: the solar panels batteries are charged at daytime so that during the nights, electricity is available in all forms, to every citizen. The village mightnt have roads or a concrete healthcare cell but its 1200 citizens havent faced problems in the electricity department precisely because of such an installment.
