The railway apprentices continued their protests against the government to provide them with jobs in railways. About 1500 apprentices from different states joined hands to form a human chain raising their voices for the government to hear their grievances.
Apprentices from all over the country came together at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to form a human chain shouting slogans liks, ‘Sadda haq, etthe rakh’, ‘rozgaar do ya maut do’, ‘rozi roti jo de na sake wo sarkar nikammi hai’, ‘Suresh Prabhu murdabad’.
Their sole purpose was not to appeal instead snatch their right of getting jobs in railways since they have been trained in the following. During the protests, they removed their protests showing that the government has made them helpless.
There are many more apprentices in the country who are going through the same and want the railways to absorb them as they have completed their training under the Railway apprentice. These protests have been going since a very long time.
The apprentices complained that earlier every person who undergone railway apprentice program was offered jobs in the railways. But now they are only giving 20% preference quota. This is injustice with us as we already cleared apprentice exam and to get the job we should pass through one more.
They government must reply to this mass agitation as the unemployment in the country is on the rise.
