It has been 47 days since the nationwide lockdown took place in the country. The manner in which the Government of India has acted in this battle with the Corona virus is quite commendable, but the difficulties that the laborers and poor sections of the country are undergoing due to the lockdown cannot be ignored. To understand more deeply about all these things, the youngest psephologist of the country, Pradeep Bhandari, landed on the ground and tried to get public opinion. Meanwhile, on the agra express highway, he met 3 migrants. These migrants were going from Noida to Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh. When asked about their situation, it was found that they did not got wages by the contractor in lockdown, due to which they are now forced to flee. When one of these migrant was asked about to rate central government and state government work during covid, they all appreciated the work of both the governments in one voice, and when asked what are their expectations from their government, they said that “government is doing alright, we just want this disease go away from our country soon. ”
It is surprising that these migrants, who were on 500 km journey on a cycle in scorching heat were thinking for the interest of the country. Migrants put it in clear words that, they were going home due to their economic conditions, but still supports Lokdown, and even after going to their village, he will meet their family only after passing the corona test.
Pradeep Take
Government economic stimulation package should aim to rejuvenate MSME, so that these migrants need not to go home.
