Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat earlier today where recalled several key moments from his past episodes of the programme that has now hit a historic milestone. He also emphasized upon several other factors related to empowering women, Cleaning Himalayas and providing quality education for all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled his special episode with the then US President Barack Obama that took place in January 2015 during PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat address.
Former US President Barack Obama commenting on the strong India – US relations had then said “We are two great democracies, two innovative economies, two diverse societies dedicated to empowering individuals. We are linked together by millions of proud Indian Americans who still have family and carry on traditions from India. And I want to say to the Prime Minister how much I appreciate your strong personal commitment to strengthening the relationship between these two countries.”
Barack Obama joined PM Modi on the Mann Ki Baat address the same year he became the first US President to attend Republic Day celebrations in India.
