Lakhanjar village, located in Lalitpur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, was visited by the team of Jan Ki Baat which found out that the village-people continue to live sans pakka roads, healthcare centre and helplines. Lakhanjar does not have properly constructed roads which does cause a few problems. The village also doesnt have a resident doctor or any kind of primary healthcare cell for the citizens. The town, however, surprisingly, has never had problems in the electricity department; solar panels had been installed in Lakhanjar a while ago and continues to fulfil the electricity needs of the residents.
Lakhanjar is a small Village/hamlet in Mandawara Tehsil in Lalitpur District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. It comes under Lakhanjar Panchayat. It belongs to Jhansi Division. It is located 56 KM towards South from District headquarters Lalitpur and 413 KM from State capital Lucknow. A whole village that whose electrical needs are fulfilled by environmentally friendly solar power, is truly a landmark in Indias path of development.
This rural region does indeed have technical issues that might act like obstacles in the daily lives of its citizens but it also is a successful example of self-sustaining energy and forces.
