The team of Jan Ki Baat witnessed the celebrations outside the Uttar Pradesh CMs house as the Election Commission of India ruled in favour of Akhilesh Yadav, granting him the complete ownership of the Samajwadi Party. The jovial mood outside the House was equated by some as the final victory. Akhileshs popularity could be seen in the celebrations; many citizens claimed that this victory over the Party symbol only reflects Akhileshs win in the Elections, to be held in all through February. The enthusiasm of the youth also points at Akhliesh’s support face, formed largely of the young.
The SP was divided into two factions as a result of the conflict between Mulayam Yadav and his son, Akhilesh Yadav. With rumours approaching about the formation of new political party altogether, the concern was regarding the leader of SP. The cycle symbol which has supplemented SPs image was now what the battle was around. Mulayams faction claimed legal right over the party and its symbol because of his position as the SP Chief. The EC, however, settled the dispute taking into account all the documents it was presented and ruled in favour of Akhilesh. The EC took notice of the legislators, most of whom backed Akhliesh over Mulayam.
Akhilesh Yadavs team continue to use Mulayams face for the SP posters, which seemingly appears as an attempt to soften the cracks in their personal and political relationships.,
