Nadimarg rerun in 2023? – Hindus singled out, AADHAR CARDS checked and then killed by terrorists. A detailed account of what happened in Rajouri

Hindus were targeted once again in Jammu and Kashmir after four civilians were killed & six people were injured after Pakistan sponsored terrorists opened fire at them in Rajouri district on Sunday evening.

Within a span of 12 hours, a child died while five people were injured in an IED blast that took place in Dhangri district.

As per the latest reports, a massive search operation has been launched to nab the perpetrators. This is the second terror attack in the village less than 12 hours.

There’s been a palpable anger among the masses against Lt Governor & the state UT administration as rise in targeted attacks in J&K has continued unabated.

With LG Manoj Sinha meeting Home Minister Amit Shah several times in the past few years, civilians have hoped for a change in fortunes, but it took them just an horrific attack against a member of the Hindu community to understand that bubble has been broken.

In the first 6 days of October 2021 itself, 7 Hindu civilians were killed.
Last year a total of 39 civilians had lost their lives in targeted attacks by terrorists.

Protestors have demanded Lt Governor’s administration for not tackling the threat emnating from Pakistan seriously enough.

In the first incident, terrorists opened fire after they made their way through the forests and barged into three houses of the Hindu community. The terrorists opened fire at people residing inside.

The deceased were identified as Deepak Kumar, Satish Kumar, Pritam Lal and Shiv Pal.

Those injured were identified as Pawan Kumar, Rohit Pandit, Saroj Bala, Sushil Kumar, Shub Sharma and Urvashi Sharma.

The second attack also took place near the first firing incident site in the form of an IED explosion.

Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu zone has said “The improvised explosive device (IED) was planted beneath a bag. It exploded. One child has died and seven others are injured,”.

Jammu & Kashmir LG has announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia and a government job to the next of kin of the civilians killed in the incident. Speaking on the incident, he has assured ” those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished”.

It is also important to note that Jammu has not seen this intensity of terror attacks since it is considered peaceful & many civilians in other places of Kashmir had relocated to Jammu in the past few years due to the predominantly peaceful nature of the place.

Protests have erupted in Rajouri with several organisations including traders’ bodies calling for a general strike in the district today.
