Amidst a heated up election battle in the state of Gujarat, Jan Ki Baat founding partner Akriti Bhatia spoke to the National Secretary of the BJP and Gujarat in charge, Bhupender Yadav. Bhupender Yadav is a member of the Rajya Sabha and represents the state of Rajasthan in the upper house. Having been involved in active politics for nearly two decades, Mr Yadav has served as the National Secretary under three different BJP presidents.
While in conversation with Jan Ki Baat, we asked him about his point of view on Mani Shankar Aiyar’s “Neech” remark to which he replied, “It reflects the mindset of the Congress Party. No amount of condemnation is enough for such a statement. Such remarks portray the thought process of the Congress towards a Prime Minister that belongs to an economically weaker section of the society. It is a disgusting thought.”
Further, Akriti asked Mr Yadav about the expectations of the BJP. He said, “The Bhartiya Janata Party is confident of achieving its 150+ mission in the upcoming Assembly elections.”
