This the independence week going on and so the Indian youth congress carried out a rally on тАШBharat Bachao AndolanтАЩ. The event saw a huge crowd gathered from students to party workers and activists.
JAN KI BAAT had a conversation with the National Secretary to IYC about what are the aspirations and demands of their party:
What are the issues raised by your party?
тАЬToday Democracy is under threat. MLAs are sold, the youth is roaming unemployed and they are told of Make in India. Girls are being kidnapped in Haryana, so we are saying that the party that gave the slogan тАШSabka Sath Sabka VikasтАЩ is making false statementsтАЭ.
Even after ruling 60 years, why is BJP in power?
тАЬWe see issues like mob lynching, riots based on caste and community. There have not been as much border security issues as are being surfaced during the BJP regime. Farmers are committing suicides. They are just renaming the schemes that were made during our government.тАЭ
тАЬGST implies higher taxes on the daily needs while the luxury items are taxed less. Even the sanitary napkins are taxed so much that underprivileged women canтАЩt even afford themтАЭ
Why are only a few females there in the rally?
тАЬWe have many female workers and they are always present in our rallies and even today they are here.тАЭ
