Pradeep Exposes The Conspiracy to Defame Hindus in Kanwar Yatra

In a recent outcry surrounding the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand governments’ directive requiring shop owners to display nameplates to assist Kavad Yatra pilgrims, actor Sonu Sood has stirred controversy with accusations of anti-Hindu sentiment. This order, rooted in legislation from the Congress era, has been criticized by opposition parties for allegedly endangering Muslims, a narrative that many view as unfounded.

The Kavad Yatra, which takes place during the holy month of Shravan, is a deeply significant religious observance for Hindus. Devotees undertake the pilgrimage by walking long distances to Shivdhams carrying water from the Ganga, adhering to stringent dietary restrictions. This includes abstaining from non-vegetarian food, eggs, and even onions and garlic in many households.

Despite the order’s intent to facilitate the yatra, which is a long-standing practice, celebrities like Sonu Sood have used it as a platform to propagate divisive narratives. Sood, who is currently under scrutiny for a tax evasion case and has political affiliations with Congress, has been accused of attempting to undermine Hindu sentiments and exacerbate communal tensions.

In response, Pradeep Bhandari, Founder of Jan Ki Baat, has issued a compelling rebuttal to these claims. In his latest video, Bhandari counters Sood’s narrative, arguing that the order is not only routine but also necessary for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. He asserts that attempts by some celebrities to sow discord are misplaced and that local Muslim communities have expressed no grievances regarding the directive.
