Akriti Bhatia, the co-founder of Jan ki Baat talked to a settlement of people in Agra about the UP Elections 2017. The Agra janta seemed influenced by Modi’s ideologies and work ethics and are a vouching for him in the UP elections 2017.
So what are the problems faced by the janta of UP, their aspirations and demands and what can the government do to make Uttar Pradesh Uttam Pradesh? The people of Agra are of the opinion that Akhilesh Yadav is good in his place but there has not being any significant development in the city. Problems and trouble-makers like goons, murderers, poverty continue to haunt the city. Another major problem of the city is cleanliness. People and the government should come together to ensure cleanliness in Agra. The poeple shouldn’t just throw away any thing on the roads and the government should install dustbins at regular distance to ensure this.
The youth of Agra seemed to be influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ideologies and work ethics. They want BJP to work in the state in the similar way as it is working in the centre. They have seen the working of BSP, SP and Congress and now are vouching for BJP. They believe that Modi will ensure safety of the women and more employment prospects. Modi has introduced the zero balance scheme under JanDhan Yojna which will also ensure access of the bank for the poor and deprived. The key areas to focus on are tourism as Agra is the hub of one of the seven wonders of the world i.e. the Taj Mahal. And secondly, there should be factories for the new generation which would also broaden the prospects for employment.
The youth in Agra is of the opinion that leaders like Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi who call themselves the representatives of the youth are just caught in the money-trap. Their mental capacity and work force is no match for Modi and the citizens of Agra have come to realize it.
Hence, after the announcement of the budget and judging every leader by their capacities, 99% of the people in this settlement in Agra vouched for Modi. In Modi they believe and invest their trust. The prospects of BJP sweeping the seats in Agra indeed seems very high.
