Complete Lockdown has made people more serious and aware about COVID-19: Jan Ki Baat State of Nation survey

Q.2 Are you satisfied with the steps taken by the government to contain the CoVID-19 Outbreak?

Eight in Ten respondents (over eighty per cent of them) were satisfied in this regard, with the respondents feeling convinced about the viability of the steps like ‘Janata Curfew’. A few responses in the beginning until PM Modi hadn’t addressed the nation were doubtful and filled with pessimistic insecurity.

Post Janta curfew, people started taking it as a matter of survival, and being supportive-or-not of Modi in general didn’t matter thereafter. They were ready to be galvanized behind the leader.

The seasonal Modi supporters were in favor of imposition of curfew over lockdown. Overall, due to less number of COVID-19 cases, there wasn’t too much of pessimism as for Govt’s policies related to CoVID-19 coronavirus.

Q.3 What are you using more, sanitiser or soap?

More than half of the respondents (over fifty-two percent of them) were using more soap than sanitiser.

Only economically sound people reported to be using sanitizers considering the price boom of then in this demand and supply balance disturbance. People who still had to move outside their homes such as government employees relied more on sanitizers.

Only twenty per cent of the respondents are using both soap and sanitizer during and after stepping outside home, albeit occasionally.
