The Kabbadi finale saw India and Iran battling it out, in Ahmedabads TransStadia Arena. It was the Kabaddi World Cup final and India was looking to make their 3rd title. On the other hand, Iran was trying to avoid making it their 3rd loss. Iran had a 18-13 lead at the break. The events that unfolded after 40 minutes into the game, were historic: India beat Iran by 38-29 in the second half.
The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup kicks started on October 7 in Ahmedabad and will end with the big finale on October 22. There are 12 teams participating in the tournament excluding the defending champions of India. The other teams are USA, England, Australia, Iran, Poland, Thailand, Bangladesh, South Korea, Japan, Argentina, and Kenya. India had beaten England in semi-finals and went on to conquer Iran in the finals.
