Residents of Gomti Nagar, Lucknow talk about upcoming elections

The residents of Gomti Nagar spoke to Pradip Bhandari and Akriti Bhatia, the Founder and co-founder of Jan Ki Baat, regarding the upcoming elections. The youth urgently needs the government to address the un-employability concerns of the residents. For overall development, employment is necessary; skills and educations is often unable to transfer into salaried jobs, increased the unemployment rate. Laptop distribution, as attempted by Akhikesh Yadav, doesn’t necessarily equate with developmental policies. When asked who’s likely to win this elections, the man said the Bahujan Samaj Party has a greater chance of winning but the SP-Congress alliance, too, can win.

Uttar Pradesh’s 400+ seats are currently divided into 229 held by Samajwadi Party, 79 by SP’s Opposition, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party and the BJP and Congress controlling 41 and 29 seats, respectively. There’s an indication that the 2017 UP Elections may witness SP and BJP contesting against each other. The dates for the UP Elections were announced recently; it would begin on February 11 and continue till March 8, with 5 other Phases in between.

As the young man rightly put: distribution of laptops and other high-end technological devices is not development. Schemes have to be initiated and implemented for the path of development to start. Who the UPites think is ready for this job?
