2 Lakh ShikshaMitra agitating at JantarMantar demanding back their jobs and livelihood as Teaching Assistants in UP schools.

On 12 September, Akriti Bhatia, Founding Partner of Jan Ki Baat took the voices of more than 2 lakh agitating shiksha mitra at Jantar Mantar.

They were earlier paid a salary of 40,000 but now their payments have been decreased after the Supreme Court ruling of 25th July. They will be made ‘Shiksha mitra’. Their main problems

Their main problems are:

-Their monthly incomes have fallen after the 25th July SC judgement.- PM promised to take up the responsibility of the Shiksha Mitras at the Varanasi rally before UP
